Ghosts in the Fog brings animated terror to Crystal Lake

Jason Voorhees has another appointment on Friday the 13th. Womp Stomp Films has released a new final trailer for Ghosts in the Fog, its animated fan film made with Mako Animation, ahead of streaming beginning November 13, 2026.

Set four years before the first Never Hike Alone, the story follows hikers who lose their way in mysterious fog and wander onto Crystal Lake’s cursed grounds. Juan Rivera and Vincente DiSanti direct, with Chelsea Rebecca, Zoran Gvojic and Diego Valenzuela in the voice cast. Thom Mathews supplies the narration.

The newly released trailer is the development here; the project itself was previously announced. Womp Stomp identifies the film as an independent, nonprofit fan production that will be free to watch, without affiliation or endorsement from the franchise’s rightsholders.

BLIGHTEN’s demo gets a new level, harder fights and more firepower

Blight Software has released a major update to the BLIGHTEN demo, giving players fresh reasons to return to its infected industrial facility.

The developer’s update introduces hard mode, a new level, additional enemies and mutations, and an assault rifle. It also adds NPCs and environmental sound effects, adjusts weapon selection controls, and addresses several technical problems. The existing laboratory level has been removed from the demo for reworking in the full game.

This is an expansion of an existing demo, which first launched in July. Players can download it free through Steam. The developer also released an official Next Fest trailer during the coverage window.
